Neal
& I designed & built our log home in 2000, it is
still a work in progress. For the most part we
built it ourselves. There is no paint, stain or
plaster board in the house it is all natural woods.
We purchased a backhoe & dug the basement, water &
electric lines. We both love operating the backhoe
& even though the house is built we still find many
uses for it.
Neal loves to build things &
loves making things on his wood lathe. My specialty
is the scroll saw. We made the floor & cabinets
from rough hewn hickory. I made all of the switch
covers with my scroll saw.
I have always had cats & dogs,
usually strays. My parents had great danes & I
always wanted one. In February of 2004 we brought
Sasha home. We got her as a pet but with the
breeders encouragement we started to show her.
While at the shows, we saw our first blue & fell in
love.
After careful research we found
Kappadane's in Arizona & in May of 2005 we brought
Smoke home. Part of the Kappadane puppy contract is
that the puppy has to have 10-12 weeks of obedience
training. I am extremely grateful to Kathleen for
having this in the contract & introducing me to the
performance end of showing.
In November of 2006 we brought
Viva home. She is a first cousin to Smoke &
although she is black instead of blue, she carries
for blue & hopefully we will have a blue puppy from
her in the future.
